Minor Details Featured in Houzz.com Article

I'm thrilled to have had a project photo featured in a Houzz.com article today about using ceiling color to create an inspiring space.  I always consider ceiling colors, treatments and designs as part of any room design.  In my design studio, I've really loved my Sherwin Williams "Seal Skin" ceilings and can't imagine then any other way!

Dark colors tend to visually receed so it's a nifty trick if you need to hide some bad texture, flaws, conduit or other eye sores.  In small spaces or rooms with odd or complicated ceiling angles, try painting the ceilng pan the same as the wall.  It will "hide" an odd ceiling shape and make the room feel larger by editing what your eye sees as the rooms structure.

Enjoy the Houzz.com article!

client testimonial

I have worked with Scott Neste at Minor Details over the past 11 years on many projects ranging in size from small single office interior design work to him designing the lighting, flooring, paint, office furniture and artwork plans for a new 84,000 sf building. Scott is very knowledgeable of current design trends, new products and has helped to determine alternatives when under budget constraints while still meeting our vision for the space. I highly recommend and will continue to use Scott for all interior design needs.
